I love living here in Murphy NC mountains. Having moved here from Leesburg, FL area (Fruitland Park,FL) back in 1996, I have never looked back. There are 3 major Rivers in Cherokee County NC: Valley River, Hiwassee River and Nottely River. Great trout fishing in these steams! Further more Lake Hiwassee, Lake Nottely, Lake Chatuge and Lake Blue Ridge. My lovely wife Mary and I just love fishing, boating or jumping on jet ski with our dog Maggie and take off. Deer, Wild Turkey Hunting is big around here. We enjoy horse back riding, hiking, shooting the wildlife with our cameras or Antique hunting at local Flea Markets. We are also the members at St.William Catholic Church in Murphy. Just sitting outside on the porch with a glass of NC wine (red wine) with my lovely wife Mary, watching sunset, reminds me "Wow, LIFE IS GOOD!"
